Welcome to ScreenTreat App. This document determines on how we at ScreenTreat collect, store and protect your personal information. Use of Personal Data

At ScreenTreat we do not track nor store any personal usage data generated outside of our application. This means we can not track nor identify any specific app or website usage data generated by parent, guardian or child. We can not access any usage data from your child’s device, e.g. names of apps on your child’s device are not stored or monitored by our service. This information is only accesible to parent or guardian as an end-user through Parent mode settings and is being retrieved via Apple’s native Screen Time API service.

We do not sell any personal or anonymised data to third parties. We only collect general ScreenTreat app usage statistics to analyze usage frequency and improve our service. Originating from inside of European Union we follow strict GDPR regulation for any personal data use, user segmentation and personal offers.

Any direct marketing notifications including push notifications, emails, sms, and phone calls are subject to user consent. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

COPPA regulates the collection of data about children under the age of 13 who are accessing a website or other Internet applications. Although ScreenTreat app is designed to assist parents/guardians and children under 12, the administration, configuration, and management of the ScreenTreat app is intended for use by only adults over the age of 18. We do not require any personal information or children identity in order to provide the ScreenTreat app services. Parents and kids are able to personalize their screen and profile settings at their own will. While contributing to safe online environment for kids, we strongly encourage the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18 to actively guide on their interactions with ScreenTreat app and regularly monitor their online usage behavior.

Security Measures

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures in accordance with the EU and US law regulation, taking into account the state of the art software setup, technology design, and means of data processing. The measures include, in particular, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data by controlling physical and electronic access to the personal data. However, you must understand that no web site or Internet transmission is completely secure. Therefore, we can never guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, data loss and other incidents can be completely excluded.

User Rights

Users can at any time execute on their following rights:

  • Right to information: users can enquire what personal data has been collected and processed.

  • Right to be forgotten: users can ask to delete their account and all personal data.

  • Right to data portability: users can ask to provide the data collected to be transferred to another provider in a machine-readable format.

Authorisations and Access

In order to utilize app features and personalize child screen, we would request access or permission to certain functions from your mobile device (i.e. Photos, Videos, Camera. Push notifications). Third-Party Partners

We use third parties to help us operate and improve our services. These partners are necessary to assist us with data hosting and maintenance, analytics, customer support, marketing, advertising, payment processing, and security measures. We follow a rigorous vetting process before engaging a service provider or working with a partner. All our service providers and partners commit to strict confidentiality. Our vendor list includes but is not limited to:

  • Google Analytics - for marketing campaign analytics

  • Mixpanel - for app usage monitoring 

  • BetterStack - for app performance analytics and debuging

  • Mailchimp - for direct marketing and consent management


We may also oblige to disclose your information if reasonably necessary: (i) to comply with a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, government/legal investigation or other legal requirement; (ii) to assist in the prevention or detection of crime (in each case, subject to applicable law); or (iii) to protect the safety of any person.

Updating and Storing Your Information

If you believe that the information, we hold about you is inaccurate or that we are no longer entitled to use it and want to request its rectification, deletion, or object to its processing, please do so within your user account or contact us via support@screentreat.app. For your protection and the protection of all of our users, we may ask you to provide proof of identity before we can answer the above requests.

Keep in mind, we may reject requests for certain reasons, including if the request is unlawful or if it may infringe on trade secrets or intellectual property or the privacy of another user. Also, we may not be able to accommodate certain requests to object to the processing of personal information, notably where such requests would not allow us to provide our service to you anymore.

Unless a more specific retention period is stated within this privacy policy, we will retain your personal data until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data.
